Data Conversion

Data Conversion

Converting your data to the new system is an essential element of any implementation, and one that must ensure the accuracy and completeness of any required historical and current transactions and master file information. Our team has the experience and the tools used hundreds if not thousands of times to make your data conversion effort an efficient and painless one. Once the necessary steps are completed to cleanse the data of unwanted older or irrelevant information, we can quickly import the data to set up and configure a pilot test system on a sandbox environment. This process allows for the testing of the data conversion approach, and for the converted data to be examined and reconciled to ensure it retains its accuracy.

An essential part of deploying any new system is the new reporting that will come from the new system. This can be in the form of physical print-outs, data queries, and dashboards. A top benefit and reason for implementing a new ERP system is how quickly, thoroughly and completely can a User get the information they need to perform their job. This also includes how automated can the new system be to perform functions a user would have to do based on reports and inquiries, where now instead Business Alerts and Notifications can be defined that examine certain data and then execute processes automatically. A key element to the success of any go-live cutover is how prepared the User team is to begin using a new system come that Monday morning the old system is no more. BHE ensures that your team will be equipped with sufficient access to train on a sandbox or pilot environment as one of the phases of the implementation. The customers Project Leads will be the first to learn about the new system’s functionality and its applicability to their own business processes and workflows. They will play a key role in the successful roll-out by becoming mentors for the users in their groups. Training is a critical element to ensuring a complete knowledge transfer from BHE Consultants to the Customer such that they become experts with their new system.
